The collection of the Françoise van den Bosch Foundation originated from Françoise’s estate, as well as through acquisitions and donations. It not only reflects the activities of the foundation but is also one of the most important jewellery collections in the Netherlands, with an international focus.
The collection is on long-term loan to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. A significant part of the jewellery and other objects is regularly displayed in changing exhibitions at the museum.
The foundation’s collection is primarily based on Françoise’s inheritance, which includes her own work, the many material experiments she conducted, and works from contemporaries with whom she exchanged objects. Since 1980, the foundation has acquired jewellery and other art objects from award winners, works by Françoise, and pieces designed on commission for the foundation.
Since 1997, the foundation has been acquiring works by emerging talent from both the Netherlands and abroad. Donations that strengthen the collection are gratefully accepted. Additionally, photographs commissioned by the foundation in 1990, featuring Françoise’s work, were added to the collection in 2008. Since 2021, the collection has been further enriched with works by early-career jewellery designers and artists.
The collection consists of approximately 400 objects and continues to grow each year.
