A theme very popular among jewellery designers in the early 1970s was the reuse of materials. Ruudt Peters used the rubber tubes of a motorbike and combined these with prefab aluminium tubes by simply fitting the different elements. A lock was thus not necessary. It makes for a simple but hip and decorative necklace. Françoise swapped a piece of hers for this necklace from her six years younger colleague.
