Our Collection

The Françoise van den Bosch Foundation's collection originated from Françoise’s legacy, supplemented by acquisitions and donations. It is not only a reflection of the foundation’s activities, but also one of the most important jewellery collections in the Netherlands, with an international focus. The collection offers a broad overview of the contemporary jewellery field, from its early years to the present.

The foundation is committed to translating Françoise’s values and core approach to jewellery into its collection policy: the works in the collection are experimental, autonomous, pioneering, and interdisciplinary in their use of materials and techniques, and they reflect critically on the field. Each acquisition represents – sometimes a small, but always a relevant – shift within the discipline and reflects on the current state of the field. The foundation places great importance on an artistic practice centered on (formal) research and reflection.

The collection is on long-term loan to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. It consists of approximately 200 objects and continues to grow steadily. Donations that strengthen the collection are gratefully accepted.
