Trophy commission 1983-1987

In 1982, two designers were commissioned to create a sketch proposal for a trophy. The board selected Maria van Kesteren’s design, and five trophies were awarded, with the original added to the collection.

Between 1983 and 1987 five copies were presented to Bernardine de Neeve (former curator Museum Boijmans van Beuningen) in 1983, Pierre Degen (Françoise van den Bosch Award) in 1984, Hyke Koopmans and Margje Blitterswijk (Gallery Het Kapelhuis) in 1985, Marijke de Goey (Françoise van den Bosch Award) in 1986 and Benno Premsela in 1987 for their special efforts to raise awareness for contemporary jewellery.
